STREET MUSICIANS

Street musicians can be encountered worldwide, mostly in tourist areas where their audience can be found. They enjoy their art and present it to express themselves, entertain others, and often, but not always to generate funds either by donations or sale of products of their craft. They can calm or exhilarate listeners and enhance the overall experience. Street musicians often define cities such as New Orleans. In somber times such as the current pandemic and the Russian invasion of Ukraine, their impromptu presentations lift spirits and provide moments of peace, hope and inspiration and some semblance of order in chaotic times. Below, I've included few images of street musicians that I have encountered and enjoyed during my travels over the years.
